Curious about batik but never tried it before? Come and experience it for yourself at Five Arts Atelier. Spend a relaxing few hours learning the traditional art of Indonesian batik with our friendly local Balinese artists. You’ll get to see how batik is made, learn about the tools and traditional patterns, and most importantly, try making your own. We’ll guide you through the process step by step, from creating your design and using the traditional canting to applying hot wax and adding color to your fabric. You don’t need to be an artist or have any previous experience—just bring your curiosity and enjoy the process. There’s no need to rush. Take your time, ask questions, experiment with your ideas, and simply enjoy making something with your own hands. Our atelier is a peaceful place where you can slow down and experience a different side of Bali, away from the usual sightseeing. By the end of the experience, you’ll have your own handmade batik artwork to take home—a personal little memory of your time in Bali. Whether you’re travelling alone, with a partner, friends, or family, we’d love to share this beautiful Balinese tradition with you.
